Terms of Service

These terms are a contract between you and Arnav Verma ("we"). By signing in or using the site you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a contract. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.

The service helps you prepare job applications: it holds your master resume and the resumes you make or import in a Studio with an editor and a rules-based quality check, drafts a cover letter and outreach messages from templates and the details you enter, tracks applications, suggests the kinds of people to contact, and runs a spoken mock interview with rule-based feedback. A hosted AI model reads a resume you import to structure it, and every line it returns is checked against your text; drafting, checks and feedback otherwise run in your browser. The AI transparency page lists what the model does and what is rules. Job listings come from employers' public job boards and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong; always check the original posting.

The service is not career, legal, immigration or financial advice, and it does not guarantee interviews, offers, replies or any other outcome. You are responsible for everything you send to an employer or contact, including checking drafts for accuracy before you use them.

Your jobs, drafts, notes and contacts are stored in your browser; your master resume, your resumes and their earlier versions are stored in your account on our servers. You own all of it and grant us a limited license to process it only to provide the service, including sending the text of a resume you import to our AI model provider to structure it. Keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose: clearing your browser data removes what is in the browser, and Clear my data and deleting your account remove what is in your account. Your account (email address, name, sign-in method and sessions) is stored on our servers. Access is by invitation while the service is in preview: other accounts wait on a waitlist until we let them in, and we may decline, revoke or remove an account.

• Do not use the service to harass, spam, deceive or discriminate against anyone, or to send messages that break anti-spam or employment laws where you or the recipient live.
• Do not enter someone else's personal data unless you may lawfully use it for your job search.
• Do not scrape, crawl, overload or resell the service or the job listings it shows, or use automated tools against it.
• Do not try to bypass sign-in, use another person's account, probe or attack the site, or interfere with other users.
• Do not misrepresent your identity, qualifications or experience in material you send using the service.
• Do not use the service where it is illegal to do so.

We may suspend or block access that breaks these rules.

Job postings, employer sites, job boards and LinkedIn are run by others under their own terms. We are not party to any application, interview or employment relationship, and we are not responsible for the content or conduct of third parties.

The site, its design, code and text belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service for your own job search and may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the site itself. Company names and icons shown next to listings belong to their owners and are used only to identify the employer. City data is from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). Type is set in Manrope and Roboto Serif, and PDF downloads also carry Arimo (SIL Open Font License); the icons are our own.

The preview is free. Export of your own documents (PDF, Word, text or JSON, or printed from your browser) stays available to every signed-in account whatever its subscription state. PDF downloads are paced at 20 an hour per account and downloads at 60 every ten minutes; Print keeps working when the PDF limit is reached. Use of the AI model is paced: 10 resume imports an hour and 30 a day per account, and a ceiling of $1.50 of model cost a day and $10 of model cost a month per account, with a daily ceiling for the site as a whole; when a limit is reached, the editor, your resume list and exports keep working and the paced action opens again at the time shown. An account holds up to 500 resumes, deleted ones included until they are removed, up to 32 MB of documents and up to 1 GB of document writes a day. If we introduce paid plans, prices, billing terms and cancellation will be shown before you pay, and the Refund Policy will apply.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, jobs, income, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and 50 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

You will cover us for claims by third parties that arise from content you send using the service or from your breach of these terms, to the extent permitted by law.

You can stop using the service at any time and remove your data with Clear my data on the Profile page, which removes your resumes and other studio records on the server as well as this browser's copy, or delete your account. We may change, suspend or end the preview at any time; where we can, we will give notice on the site.

These terms are governed by the laws of California, USA, and the courts there have jurisdiction, except that consumers keep the protection of the mandatory laws and courts of the country where they live. Before starting any claim, please email hello@getthatrole.com so we can try to resolve it.
